Hi all,

Just came back from a dive in the Philippines and took some nice photos, so I decided to share a few here... To keep it interesting I will leave the ID for you guys :) I should post some more in the next few days...

Great pics! I went on my very first dive ever in Boracay last November. It was absolutely awesome, and I'm sure I didn't see anything close to the best the Philippines has to offer!

Your pictures a great. What camera are you using? I am going to the Pilippines in Dec. Where can I go for good snorkling near Manila? I haven't gone diving in 16 years. Since it'll be my first time back, I'd just like to not have to get on another plane once I get there.

Hey all, I am in Cebu (Southern Philippines), went diving in a marine reserve. I am sorry to say the habitat is very degraded near Manila and there is no good diving (or snorkeling) nearby. Nobody guessing IDs? :) I will post some more in a few min...

Cebu is beautiful and so are the ladies. ;) I was there a long time ago. The water is crystal clear and blue there. Back then I was not into SW hobby though.

Chrysiptera springeri-- maybe but not a big follower of damsels here

I am from the philippines. Anilao Batangas is very near the airport compared to Cebu. Around two hours from the country's capital.

Very nice photos. That photo of the clown is an excellent shot, maybe just a hair underexposed but beautiful composition!

That male Lamarck is a beauty with the streamers. The goby is a Trimma species, maybe T. canna?

Thanks all, sorry for the long silence, but the internet in the hotel where I stayed was painfully slow. Anyhow, here a couple more of wrasses flashing their colors in a late afternoon dive.

Luiz,

Beautiful Lubbock's and P. lineopunctatus. I have kept P. lineopuntatus in the past and I could never get them to flash like in the picture. Any ideas why? Do they only flash that intensively in the presence of females?
