Phosphate reactor with softies

Why not? I have one on my tank... I used to have algae and now for about 1 week of using the phosban reactor, it's actually going away.

How long have you been running it? What are you running? What size is your tank? How much media are you running?

Hmmm, running Rowaphos in a phosban reactor made by TwoLittleFishies. It's for my 29g prop tank with a 15g sump. I've been running the media for about 1.5 month and then change. Rowaphos is known to be pretty good. They will not release back phosphate into the tank as some media will. My phosphate is undetectable by the Hagen and the Salifert test kit. I haven't used some lower range test kit, but I am pretty sure my phosphate is pretty low. For that tank, I only feed frozen cyclopeeze once a week. Not much for phosphate to build up.

There is absolutely no harm. Just do not use a strong pump to feed the reactor. I've been running carbon and phosguard in my reef for months. My softies are fully extended. I am getting a phosban reactor shipped to me now and all that does is use the media "better" by running faster current through it.

I have been running the posban reactor with posban and carbon added to the mix. really does keep the phosphates down and have to uch grough from the mushrooms and leathers. Go for it
