Phosphate test kit

just bought a phosphate test kit. The instructions are just pictures. I think I am doing it right, but the color change sure is light. basically this is what I am doing.


5 ml of water

5 drops PO4-1 and shake

1 spoon PO4-2 and shake

wait 2 minutes

place the vile ON the white background and look down through the liquid.

Thats correct- if it is light your readings are very low- the thing glows when you have high readings. If you don't believe me at a couple granules of cascade or a phosphate based buffer or a rust neutralizer.

thanks Roger, it really does glow. I defrosted some brine and added 1 drop of the brine juice along with RO and whooo!! There is definatly a high Po4 reading coming out of that food.
