photo cell placement

Hi there, I purchased a stream 6100 kit about two weeks ago for my 72 g Bowfront ( still cant get over what a difference it has made ) I just purchased the photo cell for it and now have a question...is the photo cell to be mounted under water in the tank, or out of the tank, I just cant seem to find the answer...as silly as it probably is! I just dont have any room out of water with all my power compacts sitting on the tank...I was thinking of placing it on the outside of the overflow since it is concealed and my back cover does not extend past the overflow...any answers out there?

It is waterproof but I wouldn't submerge it. Just stick it to the trim, it has a sticky side and just clean the surface with alcohol and stick it down. I would place it somewhere that the light of the aquarium will affect it and yet it will get near total darkness at night.

thank you...thats just what I did and it works great. I think my next purchase is going to be a turbelle electronic and a branch adapter...that gets rid of all five maxijet 1200's. I just wished I would have shelled out the extra cash the first time better late than never! Thanks again
