phuge photo period

right now Im not getting much growth in my fuge, so I am wondering about photo periods

currently I am running the lights on a reverse photo period as my main display...the fuge lights are on from 8pm to 10am (14 hours daily)

one potential reason that Im not getting much growth is because I dont have any fish and barely any bioload...if you think that is the reason and not my current lighting scheme, please say so

Keep it on a reverse schedule for the pH stability unless you are growing caulepa in which case you need 24/7 lighting. If you are growing cheato it will grow faster with a resting period. What light did you end up with on the fuge and how many gph are going through what sized fuge?

the fuge is on 4 spiral compacts, probably about 300gph running through it, but there is an MJ1200 within the fuge tumbling the chaeto, which is all that is in there (except various hair algae)

fuge is 20L
