Phytoplankton

I bought my first little maxima clam (around an inch or so long). It's probably the most gorgeous electric-blue with purple-stripe color that I've ever seen.

I've been feeding a little live phytoplankton every day, since I hear it helps the baby maximas survive until they get well past the 1" size. I've been mixing about half a cup of some home-grown live nano and tetra phyto along with a few capfuls of DT's live (in a 220 gallon system).

Is that a decent feeding regimen?

I have all the other parameters right: Calcium and alkalinity is maintained at around 460 and 11 respectively by a Korallin reactor set to around 6.6 Ph. The tank is lit by three 250 watt 12K halides in lumenmax reflectors with two 72" VHO actinics. The clams get plenty of light and minerals.
