Picasso offspring

Thanks :) Thats what sold me on him... & the white actually goes onto his fin (kinda visable in the pic)

sorry if this pic is kinda old & posted before, I have no new pics of it.

GSMguy: Are you sure they are all regular percs? Quite a few of them have markings that make them look like they have come from the picasso's.

yes very nice

BTW TMC in england is producing picasso as well as a new teardrop percula the picasso look very much like the ORA.

Salty Critter had some a couple weeks ago

No, some look like miss barrs. I am not sure if some of those came from ORA but a couple I saw here and there looked like a Picasso. Pause the video at 17 seconds and look at the left. There is a Picasso clown.

Disney got their clowns from ORA, those are all ORA clowns.

word thanks for clearing that up i just thought that epcot was breeding them.

Unless they started breeding clowns in the last 2 years, but that video is old ... I'd guess about a year after "finding nemo" came out... but that is a stab in the dark.

so wait did they really get them from ORA or did you just say that? how do you know this?

My guess is that by the looks of it many of those percs came from picasso or picasso like parents. The more you look the more you see quite a few with a lot of extra white.

GSMguy, if you watched the video closely most of those clowns weren't regular Percs. I am guessing that those clowns are offspring of the same parents. Most of them have similar markings and coloring.

Right you are treny. If they aren't real picassos, can I sue them for false advertising? LOL!!

Although I'd be surprised if they weren't seeing as to how they are an ORA dealer and they have a long time association with them. As far as price goes, compared to what they are going for in other stores and on the web, I think I got a good deal.

That's what I thought..lol no I was makeing a statement on what the other ppl were saying about true and fake one..I don't know whats the diff with them anyway.. all I know is that true are 300 a pair and fake are 50 each.

I wouldn't call them fake. They still come from the same parents as the other $300 picasso clowns. The $50 ones are just as pretty in terms of coloration and markings...that's all.

CHARLIE - My Picassos should be arriving within the hour. I spoke to John at Blue Ribbon and got a pair!!!
He was a pleasure to talk to. Really helpful...
I'll let everyone know how they do in the tank and how the coloration looks...

Pez.. where did you order them from, and are there any more in stock. I've been looking for picassos for a while. Please PM me if you get a chance.

What I have seen is that ora will send these clowns to LFS that has a good relationship with them. I may be wrong but when i was in the hunt i called most of the lfs in the front range of Colorado and most of them said they were not on the new list form ora and will contact when they are on the list. Only to turn around and have a gall form another lfs get on the phone and call ora only to find that there was some but are not ready yet. But w/ patience not in my vocab i bought a pair from blue ribbon and Koi. Now wishing that i would have just took the splurge and bought a true pair. Non the less they are beautiful fish and good luck finding a nice pair.

Charlie, I feel I was fortunate. My local dealer has been an ORA dealer for quite some time and has a good association with them.
