Picassos must have a LOW IQ

Well I have had it with Picasso clowns. Spent nearly $1000.00 in them and the last 2 descided to go carpet surfing. I am mystfied as how they got out as I keep a snug piece of egg-crate on top of the tank that is intricatly cut to fit around the filter and protein skimmer. I had them housed with 2 B &W ocselliaris clowns and 2 PJ Cardinals. They were seemingly healthy, although they did not ever host an anemone. They are/ were quite cute, the way they would swim in an up/down motion - like they were drunk.

I hope nobody else has this problem as they are not easy to replace.

egg crate is a deterrent, but many fish can still fit through the holes.

I agree with TXChewy, it is housing them with another pair of clowns that was the problem. Seem to me it was not the clowns that are "have a LOW IQ", at lease fish IQ

I had some to and mine did the same with regular clown that chased them

It's very probable they were chased out by other clowns, just not a good idea to mix.
$1,000 lost on picasso's?

Thats ALOT of money on picasso's how many have you had? The most they should be for a par is 200 IMO.

I did not mean to insult at all.
We all don't know everything, I have my share of having fish jump out of the tank due to us not know and provide for them as we should.
There are no stupid fish, just lack of knowledge on the part of fish keeper, inability of the fish keeper to think like a fish, or low fish IQ.
