my powderblue is currently in quarentine, and hes gotten pretty fat. Ive been feeding him spectrum pellets antibiotic. and also formula 2 pellets that he eats.

I try to feed him frozen food, but he doesnt like it it seems. And he barely barely eats nori. 95% of it ends up floating around the tank. Ive tried a bunch of different kinds(julian sprungs) and soaked in garlic. tried seaweed selects also.

I was thinking my only solution is a better non picky fish, to show him that nothings wrong with these foods?
I was thinking of a scopas tang.

anyhow any advice is apreciated.

THanks in advance,

Jaymie

Having another fish in with him should help with his eating, IMO. When I was getting my blueface and majestic angels to eat I would put a none aggressive tankmates in with the angel to show him. Royal Grammas are good because they usually pose no threat of territorial disputes and are generally good eaters from the start. Then keep the fish in the QT tank for the next new arrival who won't eat.

I had a blue tang a while back and was told by several fish stores in the area, the ones that i like because they seem to know what there talkin about, they told me that i should get a cleaner shrimp along with the tang, so i did, about a month down the road i lost my lil blue.. i was upset, but in saltwater you win some you loose some.. I did notice that once i got the cleaner shrimp that all the fish went to him and he picked things off the fish...

I have a PBT that like yours just eats pellets, he loves formula 1&2, but hardly eats anything else.... Have hade him for over a month, other tangs to in the tank and the go crazy for brineshrimp, mysis, nori, so there is competition, but the PBT just swims around in the midle of all the food.... So far he doesnÃ"šÃ‚´t look skinny and I feed pellets once a day so he gets some food.
