Just something to share, I've had a few splitters over the years but this was the first time I observed the final stages. The split started about 15 hours before this pic was taken (observed by the nem deflating, turning a darker color and retreating). They're just barely attached at this point by the outer ring of the disc and you can clearly see the innards (normally not a good thing).
Less than an hour later it was all over and the newest splitter was off to find it's home (bottom-right).
And here's an FTS, the splitters are two nems at the bottom.
