Here is my DIY skimmer, its made from standard Chemtainer poly containers and hot air welded together.

It moves about 200gpm and below is a pic when its not adjusted properly... note my foot prints in the foam from when I ran around the skimmer to adjust the outflow
I just had to get a picture of that...
