I chucked a Sea Hare in our reef for a quick maintenance run. Don't want the little cutie to starve. Time to pay it forward. I'd like to see it make the rounds in the club so we all benefit, and it deserves a long happy existence. If you receive it someday down the road, please post up here so we can follow it's little trail of life.

Who's ready?

thanks for remembering mark. i borrowed one from michael for a bit. i tell you, sea hares are awesome. my tank was cleared of all hair algae in a matter of days. so cute too :)

bladeruner143 called dibs by pm. It is in our sump chompin' away and it should start it's journey in a few days...

Mine died, he decided to hang out on my powerhead...not a good idea. He was not done yet either, they do rock though.

Ok, well it's time for the little guy to go forward in his journey. He did a great job in my tank and I hope he can do the same for someone else. LMK who needs him. Thanks again Kevin!

I'll be in Davis on Sunday. I could pick it up then. I only have a little bit of hair algae in my tank, but could then pass it on to others in this area. LMK.

Hey guys, I have the Sea Hare here in Davis, waiting for someone to pick it up and give it a nice home. He did an amazing job clearing out all of the HA from my tank, and now needs to be passed along

Darn, I could of picked him up today. It looks like I won't be able to meet up until next weekend. If you have interest from some one else, I'll let him go(and try to catch him on the next go around). If there is no interest, and you can keep him fed till the weekend...

Man..... The MARS sea hare needs a name. Hilarious creatures.

BEWARE folks. Powerhead/closed loop intake grills are seahare killers. If you have any areas in your tank that can suck a seahare "stuck" it will kill him. They have a large footprint and can get stuck easily. ;)

auntbee if you get him then i'll get in line after you. will be setting up the tank this week and i'm sure i have some hair algea in my future.

do these guys eat red turf algae by any chance?

just curious in case the Kole tang and Mexican Turbo's don't get the job done.
