I've had this brain for about 3.5 years now, it's always been my favorite coral. I thought i'd share the journey.

My camera takes terrible actinic shots.

Wow. Beautiful coral!

I can't tell from the photos, what size was it originally, and what size in the last shot?

Thanks for sharing. :)

As of now it's a 3" x 5" skeleton, I'm not sure how big it was when I got it but I'd say it's doubled in size. Alot of the growth has wrapped around the backside of the coral. It's splitting into two, a slow proccess but each half looks about the size it was in the begining.

Very nice, how often do you feed it?

Almost never, it's had maybe 10 direct feedings in 3 years, I do feed some of my other LPS but not usually the brain corals.

Very nice and good job. They can be a difficult coral to keep. Says allot about the keeper

SWEET!! Too bad everything (and its brother) seems to want to eat them. That is an awesome show Trachy! Great looking tank its in, too..

Still growing strong. It now has three individual polyps/sections as you can easily see when the feeders are out.
The last picture is 1/2 of my FTS, helping to show the overall size.
Thanks for looking:wavehand:
