pink panther

That's one cool looking acro, did you get that from Adam.

I got it from Diverrad when he was leaving he hobby. He purchased it from Adam at BC.
I bought it March 2012. It was small slighly encrusted frag with a few nobs on it when I got it.

So this two years of growth in the picture.

I do have a bunch of frags I got directly from Adam, he might not remember but years ago I bought a monti pack from him lol I still have the shamrock monti growing in the back of my tank, I dont keep any other encrusting monties anymore.

I also got my icefire from Adam, insane sunset milli, saphire milli, Mr. Packman, hellflower milli, german blue polyp, shizopolis sunset, dream sequence milli, wow more than I thought.

Sooner or later I will get my hands on the blue panther, superman table and the snipers bubblegum lol

Im not sure I think the pink panther is like the PM, maybe alittle in the growth patter. The PP does grow much slowe, it does grow a little better as it gets bigger. It loves high light as well, when I had it lower it was much duller and grew slower. Also I moved it down a while back and it actually started to elongate its branches like it was reaching for the light, it seems when its happies its grows more round ballish table lol. THe PM tends to grow more tree like from my experience.

I just picked this up last week and it sure looks a lot like the pink panther. I am not saying it is but it sure looks like it. it is badly bleached out but is starting to recover. i have high hopes for this acro as it has a lot to offer. i will post another picture in about a month if she makes it. Its the size of a baseball and is showing good signs of PE so this helps ease my worries

This colony is larger than a baseball.

Thats awesome, mine had a color closer to that when it was lower in the tank. I moved it into higher light and the color became that light but bright transculecent pink, hard to describe it. I also found in lower light it starts to branch more and reach for the light.

Sorry to bump this thread but I finally saw a colony of the Pink Panther and you're right, it is totally different than the Purple Monster. The branches are much smaller and it grows in a table like pattern. Do you have have any updated pics of your PP? Awesome coral btw!

Sorry to bump this thread but I finally saw a colony of the Pink Panther and you're right, it is totally different than the Purple Monster. The branches are much smaller and it grows in a table like pattern. Do you have have any updated pics of your PP? Awesome coral btw!

Its a bit darker now than in my earlier pic, it ended up getting moved down when i moved some rock, and I switched to Radiums with VHOS and t5s it was being shaded a little so it darkened up. i switched back to my PM t5s its still further down int he tank but it turned a deeper pink now, Im not sure how I like it better when it was higher up and got that translucent pic or the deeper pink its getting now. I think it needs a little more light so the t5s have only been up about 4 weeks so I might give it a few more and see if it changes anymore, but I would like to move it up a little and closer to the front of my tank in a more visible spot, but Im getting tired of moving my aquascape around lol
