pipe organ coral issue

Hi,

I have a pipe organ that has been taken over by red slime algae. What can I do seeing it is such a fragile coral??????

Try taking a turkey baster and blowing the cyno off the pipes. Then get more water flow to that area and see if that keep the cyno away for good.

When it is closed, use a small pipette and gently blow it off. If you add iodine, try putting a little around the coral, this will inhibit the algae growth. Be VERY careful if you do this. Don't use too much. I use Kent Tech-I. Also, the best way to help your coral is to starve the algae. Keep nitrates, phosphate and silicate as low as possible.
