I haven't seen this guy in my tank before. tank is over a year old started with 98% dry rock and only have like 2 turbo snails looks all black and like a slug with a oyster shape shell.

good or bad

Any idea what these are? They are a hard clump of tubes that have just popped up. Tank is about a month old but LR was wet from a bigger system

Could be a chiton from what I can see, just based on the shell edges.
 
Hi all, I am assuming this is some kind of Macro Algae? It also glows a bit under blue light. Is it ok to leave on the rock?

Check out what this freaky snail is doing. We've got a homemade crab trap set up to try and catch some crabs that hitchhiked in on a rock and take them back to the beach. It's baited with tuna, and the snails WANT IT. The biggest snail has a snorkel (is that what you call it) extended about 4 inches from the opening of the trap to the chunk of fish at the bottom. It's freaky weird, I'm telling you.

Hey guys, thank you for all the info any ideas on this guy ? The one inch white tube has been there for weeks but this weekend a fan came out of it? Is this a good hitch hiker? I also noticed a small red duster way to small for a pic the tube is half the size of a pencil led..IMG_2773.jpg

Almost any feather dusters are good. They filter very small stuff out of the water. However, sometimes (rarely IMHO) they can become a bit invasive and will bother corals.
