Pix & ID: Critters that come in your rocks: the good and the bad.

Found these tubes all over one of my rocks and now it has little reddish things coming out.

Harmful or ok?

You can also see the yellowish clear kinda mass under the rock... Still can't find out what it is?

Tubes are harmless featherdusters.
Both of the last 2 are aiptasia. If you look around or search RC there are many ways to get rid of them.

Found this yellowish clear blob under two of our rocks... This one looks like it has the branching out characteristics of a potato... Ok or got to go?

Pinkish thing on the bottom of the rock. Has two holes that open and close if you get near it. Any ideas?

Thanks again sushigirl! You're awesome! I'm pretty new to this and have lots of questions, it's nice to have this to come to if I get stumped by a new hitchhiker :)

Take a cruise through the rest of the thread, too. Lots of stuff already ID'd and a few hitchhiker links in here.

I've read through this thread all the way once and Ms. Sushi is pretty amazing so far.

I have 38 pounds of rock arriving tomorrow, so I suspect that I'll be cruising this thread quite a bit for the next few weeks.

Got a few small pieces of live rock from my lfs. After I put them in the tank I switched on the red leds and I found this moving around on one of the new pieces. What is it?

Don't know, I've never had any during a cycle. We did have to remove a rock frag rack the other day that we thought had 3 in it, so we dipped it in RO/DI. About 20 bailed out & were pretty shocked. They all recovered after a few minutes, though LOL.
