Pix & ID: Critters that come in your rocks: the good and the bad.

Oh well, thanks for the ID. Was hoping it'd be something else, its in a bad spot on the bottom piece of rock in my formation, luckily I have a friend with a highpowered laser pointer I can borrow hopefully I have enough room to get a shot at it. Guess I'll grab a couple peppermint shrimps too I'm sure thats not the only one in there.

Looking in my tank tonight and saw quite of few of these 'arms' sticking out of a colony of zoas. They are grayish with black stripes, long and thin and are moving about. I've tried searching but haven't had any luck figuring this out. Honestly don't seem to bother the zoas.

Terebellid worm. It's a harmless detrivore.

So i just received my first batch of rock.. and i had a couple of questions on what some things are.

I had a friend come over and look as well and he said it was Hair Algae, it came on the rocks when i got it.

Thank you SushiGirl for helping me out on my previous identification!

Finally got rid of the 1,000s of Hydroid Jellyfish on the glass, and now I have dozens of these. Are they adult jellyfish, or something new please?

Any help would be appreciated.

Flatworms, the harmless kind (except to copepods LOL).

LOL, just my luck then! I bought some Chaeto a couple of weeks ago so I could start producing pods for an eventual Dragonet... Looks like I got more than I bargained for. Will my snails eventually off them, or will copepods outbreed them, or am I just out of luck for now?

Asternia stars?

And what is this pink thing that has grown white on it?

Asternia yes, pink dunno but maybe someone else does. Reminds me of my pink sponges....but the white part throws me off.

The pink almost looks like sponge I have that started out white (or grew over a white one LOL). The white tips is weird, though. Maybe a type of coralline that's bleaching a bit? Is it hard or soft?
