It's bright red with white spikes and gets blueish on the other part I have seen

To answer, probably not. Did it come in maybe a green coral? They typically look like what they eat.
This white thing appeared on the back side of the top of my rock. It is about the size of a golf ball and the tentacles or hairs are about one inch when fully extended. They flow in the current.
What is it???

Any idea on what this is? Only comes out at night and it doesn't move from this location.
I have lots of these attached to the glass. Is it a type of hydroid and should I do anything about them?

It's an Aiptasia, a type of anemone that will reach plague proportions if you dOnt get rid of them. You have to remove the entire organism, it can regenerate from small pieces of tissue. I like to use joe's juice. Coating them with kalk paste works just as well. You can try scraping them off the glass while you siphon.
Looks like Phyllagia Americana. Cup coral. Harmless.
