New tank with LR and new to the hobby so no idea what these things are. Already found some aptasia that I removed by just pulling the whole rock. Now I have this. Looks like multiple striped tentacles. Also, what type of plant is that green grass like thing? 8 stranded star shape. Image1469140329.790241.jpg

Aiptasia?

Aiptasia?

Hello, 2 months into my first saltwater tank. Newly acquired rock is covered in tiny feather dusters. This blue thing popped up today. Should I be worried?

Aiptasia! An invasive anemone that can spread throughout your aquarium and can sting and injure corals. Get it out ASAP. You can do a search here for aiptasia or google it and you'll find tons of info.

Hello everybody. Looking for some help. I started my 20 gallon Nano about a year ago. I have not seen any posts or pictures that look like this thing that has shown up recently. Has anybody seen this before? It started appearing from time to time on my live rock, then disappeared for a while and now has shown up on my glass in this long serpentine form.

Snail eggs. Nothing to worry about.

Pic 1 is of a little type of feather duster, harmless. Wondering if anyone knows how to transplant them to a new, sterile tank.

Pic 2 is of a type of sponge. Wondering of it's a tiny barrel sponge, as it has a siphon looking thing. Also wondering how to transplant this to the new, sterile tank.

I'm going to be nuking my old rock, replacing my sand and sanitizing my skimmer and powerheads when I switch out my tank for a drilled one. I can't take the pest anemones any more and figure it's the best time to get rid of them. I'd like to reintroduce some of the harmless stuff like the sponges, dusters and micro brittle-stars but can't think of a way to do it without killing the things while doing so. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it's a sponge, and it's OK to keep. Odds are it won't want to grow out into the light too much.
