Pix & ID: Critters that come in your rocks: the good and the bad.

Timster,
The pics you posted are so blury you can't tell where the rock is ;) just a heads up so your not waiting and waiting for a reply.
You may also want to describe what item your question is about or put a circle or arrow around it as there is probally more than one thing in the pic.

Is this better? It looks like red dots in the center encased in some kind of white.

Agreed on the possibility of a nudibranch. If the red spots look like antennas (in front) and the external gills in back in person. If it doesn't move it maybe some kind of sponge. If it's a nudibranch you should be able to pluck it off the rock pretty easy if you want. Nuidies eat specific kinds of coral or more normally sponges. I'd personally watch it and if it's eating a hitchhiker sponge keep it and let it eat the sponge (their kinda cool in my book). If it's eating coral.... Well obviously get rid of it unless it's coral you don't want. If you don't see it eating you may not have food for it as their very particular feeders, in this case it will die anyway. Nudies also usually kind of look like what they eat so they can blend in btw. Good luck!!

Thank you guys! No it doesn't move at all and is pretty well attached. It doesn't look like it has gills or any antenna. So I'll assume sponge. Thanks!

What are these and how do I get rid of them

What are these and how do I get rid of them

What are these and how do I get rid of them? They are multiplying at a rapid rate.
Thanks
