Playing with aefw

OK so I found one last frag of acro jammed in the rocks and guess way it had a big fat cat aefw on it. I placed the frag in a container and got it off and discarded the frag in a five minute period I added coralrx since that's all I have around and found it took 5 drops per 85 ml to get him not moving after ten minutes was up. I gave him fresh water after ten. Minutes and I'll see if he rebounds. However coral rx needed 3 drops per 85 ml to get a reaction 4 drops flipping and 5 had a severe reaction. However at that concentration that's 58 drops per liter and 232 drops per gallon barf. I'm not even sure that acro will withstand that treatment but I'm willing to test it and if anyone finds aefw try to collect some so we can test more.

Try using revive they wiggle off in secs but I never measure just 1/2 cap full for a cup or 1 1/2 cup of water. 1-2 min max
so far never lost a sps

I was using Bayer I've been fighting aefw for months and I'm all out at this point. But I've decided to go fallow But the point is if I can acquire more I like testing what actually kills them and at what concentration

Going fallow and placing your corals in a quarantine tank so that they can be easily dipped is the quickest method to get rid of AEFW. There is a tread somewhere on RC studying the life cycle of AEFW, but 2-3 months is long enough to starve out any that stayed behind in the DT

I'm going fallow the point is testing different dips and concentration that will would. Work effectively

revive works effectively, coral RX works effectively, Bayer works Effectively, Prazi Pro works effectively

object is to remove the AEFW from the coral, you can kill it after anyway that gives you pleasure
