3 firefish red and white for long term stability, if more than 1 firefish, they must be a mated male plus female pair, otherwise only one will remain. Flasher or cleaner wrasses may harass

1 long nosed hawk not shrimp safe

1 pink diamond Watchman goby

McKosker's Flasher Wrasse

Lawnmower Blennie

Pink Skunk Clown one of the more aggressive clownfish

Black Cap Basslet

3 PJ Cardinals

Red Serpent Star

Long Spine Urchin will knock stuff over

Electric Orange Hermit Crab

Banded Coral Shrimp can take fish

3 Rock Flower Anenome can take fish

Condy Anenome will not host clownfish

Bulb Anenome will only host very specific species of clownfish

Bioload is fine but I would only have one species of anemone (although that is outside the scope of this thread)

It depends on age and species of clownfish. The green banded goby should be fine, the firefish may be intimidated by the clownfish. A tank raised kaudern's cardinal fish should be fine.

The clown fish are Ocellaris and are juveniles but just starting to do their dance. I was a bit worried about the green banded goby with the watchman, but assume their OK then?

Yes, it should be fine as they do not occupy the same ecological niche. The green banded goby will perch and move around whereas the watchman is a sand dweller and if paired with an Alpheus Randal pistol shrimp will be a burrow dweller.

OK that's great, thanks a lot for your help

C. solorensis can be somewhat aggressive to "blue based" fairy wrasses but should be fine with the established fish in your system. They will, however, lose some coloration over time absent a female.

-2 clowns
-3 to 5 green chromis will winnow down to one or at most a male/female pair; also, chromis have not been coming in healthy with uronema like symptoms presented
-mandarin goby after 9 months maturity
-maybe another tang...not sure which

another tang with an established powder blue may be difficult

As always thanks so much for your time and patience. It is much appreciated.

Currently have a 75 gallon mixed reef tank. Running a Trigger Systems Rube 30 sump with a Reef Octopus Diablo 160 skimmer. My current stock list is.

Purple Firefish
Red Head Goby
Bicolor Blenny
Two Chalk Bass
McCoskers Wrasse
Tomini Tang

Would either a Black Cap Basslet or Royal Gramma Basslet be an issue with what I have?

Could be an issue with the chalk bass, at least in this sized tank.

hello all,

Actually this thread is only answered by Reef Central Staff unlike other threads on the board

here is my list:
1 six line wrasse very aggressive and will limit tank mate choices going forward
1 yellow tang Aggressive, should be last fish added as it will limit tank mates that can be added later
1 blue tang Hepatus tangs need a larger tank, Reef Central's recommendation is 240 gallons
1 royal gramma
2 clarkii clown fish one of the more aggressive clownfish, will want to control about 40 gallons once sexually mature
1 bangaii cardinal be sure it is tank raised for best results

Thanks

Thank you very much for your excellent response to my wish list. I had figured out that more than 1 firefish might not work. Darn it!

On the clown, I know they are all meanies to a point. I really don't want orange/yellow. And I know maroons are some of the meanest clowns. Is there any pink or red clown that's reasonably docile?

Yeah, I know the Condys are good for absolutely nothing, but I adore them. When I had tanks some years back, I had one commit carpet suicide by walking right out of the top and, plop, face down. They're so amusing.

I still have a ways to go before I start stocking live critters. If another must have pops up, I'll post to this thread.

Thanks again.

Morphological varieties ("designer clowns") of A. percula and A. ocellaris are the least aggressive. GSM are the absolute most aggressive. A. clarkii are very aggressive, skunk clowns are about in the middle of the aggression scale.

OK, I'll just forget the clown. I can't afford the high dollar mated pair, and don't want a common one.

How about this little fella, the Clingfish? Are they pretty docile? And easy?

First, please do not remove my colorations as they make it easy for me to differentiate my prior answers from your questions or listings. When providing a fish for analysis please provide the full name or ideally the scientific name as there are more than one kind of clingfish. The fish pictured is a northern clingfish collected in cooler waters which are probably infeasible for you with normal temperatured aquaria.
