Please help Id

but i will give it away to the lfs for the best of the anemone

I really hope that you do. I understand, the fish store closests to me is horrible. You can't even walk in the place without wanting to throw up. Everything in there is dead. But I'm sure that there is another store within an hour that is better, and the lfs you refer to is better than what that nem is currently living in. Maintaining the water quality required for an anemone in a 10 gallon is very very difficult. And the setup that you have currently would have a hard time sustaining a damsel for more than a week. So I really encourage you to return it and get something nice setup for the future.

I don't understand why the clown is still in the tiny container....... a 10 gal tank isn't big enough so why make it even worse??? I'm not trying to tell you to give up. Just take advice from others. Start over and start right. Take the clown and nem back to a decent LFS. Swap all the water out of your "QT" and put fresh saltwater in.

Have been following this thread for days now and I can't help but shake my head. Nobody here is trying to start a fight or argument with you in the slightest. Everyone is here to help one another and to make everyone's tank that much better. This thread has turned out this way because you clearly asked for help because you didn't know. Instead of taking the sound advice you did as you wanted because no one would just tell you what you wanted to hear. Everyone makes mistakes I know I have and will probably make a few more its a learning curve. You just have to admit your in over your head and correct the mistake. At this point that nem would be better off at Petco instead of a QT turned display. Dont give up by any means just take a pause and research then take it slow. Who knows maybe if you offer a sincere apology to everyone they just might forgive you and still try to help. Rant over and best of luck

Seems a couple of people need a reminder....

[flamealert]

Instead of pouring on the gasoline, just hit the report button and let us deal with whatever needs dealing with ;)

I have been reading this thread since it started and haven't posted because i didn't want to cause more commotion but i agree that he needs to read more books on clownfish and anemones a 10 gallon is not suitable for a maroon from what i have read

I want to add that this thread along with the other 3 threads this guy has running up about the same situations have been providing him with all the information and advice he needs yet he will not listen and insists on lying to people about his situation. He is not using this forum for its intended purpose if he won't do what he is being instructed to do. How do you expect everyone to remain calm and friendly to someone who is being told over and over the same thing and nothing is getting threw to him..

I understand what you mean and i like to ignore people that don't take advice why give advice when they won't use it

If you (not you in particular, "you" meaning the reader) see this pattern happening -- where someone answers towards the beginning of the thread and then stops responding -- it usually means that they don't want to waste their time with the OP, unless value can be added by injecting commentary that can benefit other people reading the thread.

Unfortunately, being a participant on threads like these requires A LOT of patience. Most of the information is repeated over and over and a lot of it can be found using a simple search. RC actually has a very robust search which even allows for searching within a thread.

It would really be nice if people didn't waste other people's time by asking questions that have already been answered, or asking the same question in hopes of getting a different answer, but it happens. Hence the :deadhorse1:

And these...

:blown: :fun2: :uzi: :headwally: :debi: :mtool: :headwalls: :ape:

... all of which are accessible via the Smilies list.

I understand each individual asking the same questions thats cool no problem everyone should get help even with common questions. But I was talking specificly about 1 person (clownfish123321) he alone has 4 or maybe even 5 threads open on the same subjects and people are all telling him the same thing and he doesnt like what he hears so he opens a new thread in a different section and begins again expecting different responses. And not taking the advice that has been present in every one of his threads
