i have found to my greatest pleasure, an unidentified hitchhiker mollusk...it is very small and hard to get a good photo of, but here is one...there is a dead one next to it on the right...it appears to have corrugations, and the mantle does not overhang the shell...the outward valve appears fairly flat, but the backside valve seems curved...the "teeth" are jagged...the point where the mollusk closes is V shaped and not gently curved like most i've seen...the "mantle" if that's what i'm seeing, appears white, and has bluish tentacles...thanks for any guesses

i am leaning towards a possible ostridae, or pteroidea as per nilsen and fossa vol 4.... but don't know... does the pic suck pretty bad? i can try for another...it's max zoom and max digital zoom...like i said it's pretty damn small

oh yeah... i have been able to tell that the shell is somewhat elongated and not like a tridacna clam(normal)

It appears that the shell attachment point, says "oyster" and feed me DT's, heavily.

Good luck.

thanks for the reply...aren't scallops basically flat? this one could be..it's soo smal it's hard to say... maybe i'll be lucky enough to grow this one out, and get a good pic when it's nicely grown! :)
