We are talking about jarhed having an a/c register installed in his fishroom to help cool room, not tank water, the register is part of his central a/c system so it would run when a/c is cooling house. Then we are talking about talking a return air just like you have in every other room to his central return air ductwork to remove warm air off ceilling. From his lights discussing venting the light heat being pulled by canopy fan and venting thru attic to remove that load. This will help keep the room cooler not cool the tank. Hope this help clarify. Tom
Tom, you are a genius. Thanks so much for your guidance!
I'll ask the HVAC guys if they can add a return to the room. Currently, the only return for the entire house is in the dining room at the wall near the baseboard. If it's prohibitively expensive to add that, I'll opt for the vent above the door.
Got the plumbing done last weekend. Even ran electricity and didnt kill myself! I filled the tank with the garden hose to look for leaks, found a couple, fixed em, filled it again and the sump. Fired up the closed loop, works fine, although my Little Giant 4MDQ-SC isnt as quiet as I'd like it. The other closed loop pump is an Iwaki MD30 RXT, nice and quiet. I fired up the GenX PCX40 return pump.........

That thing is LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I closed the fishroom door and went into the garage and STILL heard it!!! But it works. No leaks. Entire plumbing system is beautiful, including my modified Stockman Standpipe (no room for the turns in a Durso).
I'm calling Marine Depot today to go pickup a Pan World 50PX-X (Supposed to be quieter than an Iwaki). I had to valve back the GenX because I hadnt closed up the top of the Stockman standpipe to provide more drainage flow, so it may have run down around 1000gph. I figure the Pan World will give me 1110 (down from 1190 in the GenX) and could possibly eliminate the need to meter back the flow. I really dont want to spend the money, but I cant bear to hear that GenX anymore! :mad2:
