Please show pics of your 180 tanks

drjrose, thanks, that was very interesting, I was told by the LFS that they were very hard to keep, but I think they are so pretty, and I wanted to try it anyway, wellit was doing great, I feed with the Cyclop ese anyway, so I was hoping that made a difference, WELLLLL out of all my years with tanks and not allowing the kids and grandkids near the tanks to feed......I, of all people , did the ultimate!!! I opened the new bottle of Bio-Blend fish food, (forgetting that you don't take off the lid to shake the food) and dumped in almost the entire bottle!!! Well after water changes out the whazoo, I have the water conditions under control, and the only thing that was lost was the Goniopora. Only took 2 days. I have been so mad at myself for the past 2 weeks over that one. That's what happens when you get in a hurry. I may try one again someday. I think that info will help a lot. Thanks again.

Jason, have any new pics of the tank?

Won't have any today. I spent about 2 hours in teh tank. My hands were actually wrinkled lol. I moved more stuff around and did some well needed clean up. I remounted some corals in other places to allow them to grow out. I have some new stuff coming in next week though.

2 different types of Tenius, an aculeus, a true pink birdsnest, a red linkia to add to my variety, and a 7" red sea sailfin tang from someone breaking their tank down. I now have 4 linkias and I'm done. Red(coming), orange(over a year and a half old), fushia with pokadots(3 months old) and a black and white dotted linkia(3 months old).

Hopefully I'll get some pictures next weekend of the new stuff.

OMG Jaso, you'll feel like it's Christmas. Thats great. I can't wait to see all the new stuff. Bet you cant wait!

I love my Red Sea Sailfin Tang, he's not that big, I guess this one is about 5 in. he loves the fresh romaine and red lef lettuce thoigh. But I am most excited on the Pink Birdsnest!!!!!!! I would have the big one if I fell into that deal! LOL, I really cant wait to see the new pics! I want to see lots of them, after all, you've got lots comming right?:bounce1: : :bounce3: :bounce2:

Good news and bad news!

Bad news. Couldn't get the sailfin from that guy. 1 of my frags RTN'ed of my replacement from reefermadness. However, since it was a replacement for a previous frag, I'm not going to mess with having them replace it again. Was a beautiful tenius though.

Good news. Found a nice sailfin in a store and the price was right. Beautiful red sea one. Then I saw a really nice achilles I've been dying for. He was only eating nori for about a week and today he is now eating very strongly on mysis. I also found a amazing NEON RED BTA. I honestly don't think I've seen a nicer anemone before. Guy here in leesburg picked it out for me.

I was going to take pictures however I had to head out and get some stuff done. Hopefully tommorrow. It's been a busy week with Lasik surgery and now my wife having a yard sale next weekend.

Still young but comming along except anoying algea. 200 # tonga branch, tonga shelf and fiji

simonmrwelcome, looks really good. looking forward to seeing more.

Jason, sorry about the problems, Did you get both of the tangs? Well I will look forward to seeing the pics when you get the time, I understane how things go. I'm looking for a Sohal Tang. I saw one on one of the Forums, They are beautiful. I asked today at the LFS he said he can get one but they run about $100. I would hate to obligate myself to it, and it not look like the one I saw on the forum

Yup I got both and all 5 are doing extremely well. I was worried about adding the achilles but he has done well. I was hesitant to even mentioning adding him as people jump the gun and say he is doomed. However, he has been eating well. I'll post a full shot soon however I did most a bunch of pics in the reef forum though.

Looks like it is filling out Jat24K. I like that orange shoulder tang! Watch out with that xenia, your getting quit the carpet!

Actually thats my tank ;) Thanks for the compliment. I like the OST too :D The xenia has no where to go but straight up. My wife likes it too much for me to pull it out. Plus it shows off the flow in my tank.

My. my. look at all the new pics, they all are very nice!!! Jason, getting pretty good with your close ups. looks great.

billpa, welcome, beautiful tank thanks for sharing.

Mike, have you changed the tank around? Or maybe something new maybe? Looks great.

I bought me a Feather Star, do any of you know anything about them?

Sorry for confusing your pics guys! Billpa, I wosn't suggesting getting rid of the xenia by any means. I agree it looks great. Just keep it under control :)

Jay24K, your tanks looks awesome. The clos-ups are even better, which I find to be true with mos tank pics. Can't wait to see your progress over the months to follow.

Mako your tank looks great as well. Thanks for updating.

April, your new member is one of my favorites. They need to be fed heavily. Keep an eye on it's belly. They do best when kept with plump belly!

I have had a series of misfortunes since my 180 conversion. Started with parasite outbreaks as I previously shared and most recently had mass bleaching episode. I think the bleaching was catalyzed with the addition of phosphate remover and heavy carbon filtration. The long and the short of it was I lost a half dozen or more corals. Tank appears to have stabilized, but with budget where it is, it will take time to get tank back to where it was or where I want it to be.
I am working I my own design of DIY calcium reactor which I will share pics of in the next week or so. Keep posted and good to hear from you all!
