Plese Help my camera

I have a canon powershot SD400. It has 5.0 mega pixels. First off i dont know how to shut off the flash so i always have glair. Does anyone know how to turn it off? Also the colors always looked washed out like green will be a tan brown. With out flash will that help the corals be better? Thanks im a huge noob with cameras.

on the top of the camera there is a round switch put on the on with the mountains and clouds flash should go of
