Pnoy's Cube thread..

I am in the process of getting a small cube ready for next yr. As some of you might know me from other forum here in RC. I don't know what next yr will be like since I have another baby girl coming . I barely have time right now with my 4 yr old daughter and a 9 months old son and for sure don't really want to quit the hobby. Some corals are not easy to get .. Well I will update you as we go along with pictures and progression of this cube. I hope that I will get some input as well as advises..

Current Set up - 180G full of eyecandy frags

So far this is what I got ....

30x30x24 Cube ( custom built by Sgarron)
Canopy and Stand ( custom built by Sgarron)
1x400 w Radium on a Lumenarc III with Lumantek ballast
2x24w T5 ATI B+ on Workhorse ballast
Deltec KM500 Kalk Reactor
Deltec PF601 Calcium reactor (rowaphos)
Eheim 1262 Return pump
2x6085 Tunze stream2 pump
60lbsof Caribsea Argonite Live Sand
90lbs Marco Rocks
55G Sump ( custom made by Psychographic)
ATO JBJ top off

Wes thanks. Tomorrow 2 member from NJRC ( mikem and Camz28) will come to help with the whole set up so pictures will be posted tomorrow .. Hopefully when I get home tonight I will snap a picture of some equipment.

Today was a busy day and a bit tired myself. Cube is almost 80% running. 3 of my friends came to help to bring this cube up and running. We had to rip the doors apart since the clearance is only 30 and the stand is about 34 width. Also MikeM and Deadcpu run electrical/ outlet going to the basement. They were so good and generous that made 4 outlet in total so incase I will get the basement done in the future. While both MikeM and deadcpu working on electrical Me and Camz28 put the stand back and did the plumbing. Everything came out perfect and This is will be the start of this cube without those 3 people I mentioned above. They went beyond expected and it was really a learning process. The total hrs of job today was 9-6pm .

Looks great Steve. I understand and taking off work to set up your tank. My old job was giving me pushback about taking a week off when I was setting up mine, so I decided to take a month off instead and find a new job in the mean time :lol:

:lol: Mark .... Wish I can do that ...Im trying to push it to run atleast this week and no rush on putting corals . Rushing = dead corals for me :lol: ( learned my lesson )..

Yeah that frag tank is really nice but this weekend it will taken by a friend of mine ( sold it ) as I have no use for it.. Anyway lights are 250 Oceanlight and 4 x39w Icecap Retro

Ok I managed to fill up the tank but the temp is still 73 . I did some aquascaping and for now it will stay like that till I can think of something again. ( spend 3 hrs ) aquascaping and now I know that its hard when u go from upgrade to downgrade :lol2:.. Anyway tomorrow I will fill up the co2 since it only has a little bit on it left from the previous owner. Here are some pics
