Wanted to share a funny story...I bought a couple blue leg hermits today, and they gave me a few spare empy cerith shells. I had them loose in my jacket pocket, and forgot about them. I got home about 12 hrs later, and tossed them in my tank. I was pretty suprised to see one of the shells crawling around with a snail in it hahaha. Im pretty amazed.

My daughter found three tiny (the size of the tip of a pencil) snail shells on the deck in a pile of oyster shells we brought home from ocean a month ago. We threw them in our tank and three of them came back to life. Nature is weird.

Those guys sometimes get beached and have to survive for a while. Your pocket is way more hospitable than a sun-baked beach.

The tiny-snails, though? I am majorly impressed. How do you know it was the same ones?

I had a fighting conch that went missing for a few weeks. I found him under a rock that I had moved a while back, and I figured that I crushed him by accident.

Needles to say I thought he was dead....so I pulled him from the tank and left him on the top of the tank while I did some maintainence and a water change.

I get ready to chuck him.....and I saw the legs still moving. Freaked me out....I threw him back in the tank and he fine.

Crazy!

Brought home a shell from the beach (in new england) one day thinking it as empty. Turns out, the next day I discovered it had a marine hermit crab in it. It went back into the ocean the next day.
