Looks like the aliens have landed :D. I think you have enough flow there Joe!

and then some. Once the rock go in we'll see if it still looks like a caldera..

very very nice.
I'm looking at your light rack desing and must say i like it.

Could you please be a little more specific in terms of materials and so forth. As well as some pics if possible.
They will greatlly improve my future plans .

Does the rack swing back for critter placement?
Jus curious on why swing it forward if no sapce to play and place corals-correct me if i'm wrong pls.

Thinking that perhaps i build one that moves upward for placement!
I will be using some of your ideas for my 96 long.

I'm selling my current 200 as a package prior to upgrade to my 4-500 and noticed that you are local (well sort off LOL)
I'll attach my thread for reference to any reefers that may be interested. Thx for your time- looking forward to following this build.

Hey gasman. the Rack only slides back but leaves me 15" open to place stuff. I got the aluminum from online metals and the slides from
http://www.woodpeck.com/ttrackmain.html

I actually got the idea from JBNY.. they work great.. I have it slide forward because thats how its removed.. I can take remove it and replace it very easily..

I love the GC so far. 3 local reefer have all recently purchased large GC tanks. Other than lots of silicone its been everything I needed. glass cages will not do an external overflow. Where my tank is located I couldnt have one anyway.. if I were to do anything different I would drill the CL on the bottom of the tank so the tank could be closer to the wall...

thx excellent work I will be following this build.
Any other pics of the actual rack with dimensions?

The rack itself is 68x17.5.. to accomodate the width of the reflectors, which were a DIY build through our club here in Tampa.. we saved a TON of money. the aluminum is 1x1" . when I got the aluminum I got the angle with the rounded inside edge. it works fine but the perfect 90 degree inside edge material would have been better..

great work so far! glad you arent wasting any time mr hasty!!!
Thats what everyone says!!? I have about $1500.00 worth of SPS in a 55 gallon I need to get moved... Plus my honey would like the construction site in the living room to go away..

If it werent for the help of Tampa area reefers like Reefartist and Mflamb I would never be to this point in my build.

Time to post some new pics. Your system is really looking great!!!
Thanks for taking care of my tank while I was gone.

Looking good Joe, can't wait to get the canopy finished and looking SWEEEEEEET. did you decide on the stain yet? I know you're going with maple wood which is what I'm also going with but we might need to get some samples for your wood stain color.

Hey Mike, nice to see that you made it back safely.
