Pooky's 300

Nice shots Kenny. Im loving your fish selections. Whats the chances of getting a complete fish list?

Thanks Brett. As far as the fish goes, here's the list just thinking off the top of my head:

tinkeri hybrid butterflyfish x2
Chaetodontoplus meridithi
purple tang
yellow tang x2
naso tang
lineatus wrasse male
rhomboid wrasse x3
hooded fairy wrasse
flame wrasse male/female pair
potters wrasse
blackspotted leopard wrasse
melanarus wrasse
mystery wrasse
twin spot hogfish
twin spot signal goby
rainfordi goby x2
hectori goby
copper lined cardinalfish x2
helfrichi firefish
bristletail filefish
Pseudanthias smithvanizi x4
Pseudanthias ventralis x3

And the ones still in QT, which are doing really well so far, eating pretty much everything at this point, including flakes and pellets :)

Happy Friday!

Unfortunately lost all of my favorite angels a while back. Hope to replace them one day if everything works out.

I have a couple of clippers handy. Time to repay your generosity whenever you want

Kenny - that last coral is spectacular...what is it??

Chris, that's the Ultimate Efflo from Greg Carroll. It's one sweet looking coral once grown out. Mine has grown to the size of my hand and the tips are getting more blue/purple as it gets bigger.

Nice to see some happy happy joy joy Friday pics! Happy Friday Kenny!

Thanks Sara. Happy Friday to you too and have a great weekend.

I know you know your coral better than I do, but the first picture looks like the Ultimate Efflo not the last picture. THe last appears to be some kind of mille... Am I seeing things?

Happy Friday! Let's make it reoccuring shall we?

Thanks Dan for putting the pressure on :angryfire:

I think you are right. That last pic was a fish pic in my mind so didn't even think that Chris might have been referring to it :hmm5: The fish pic with the coral in the background is the Bubblegum mille.

Now that makes much more sense!

How are you fish doing in QT Kenny? For some reason, I've had a terrible spout with my QT fish. I lost a hybrid tinkeri, 2 bandits, a goldflake, and a deepwater coral beauty within the last few months. Im not sure what is going on but it is expensive! I've gone over my technique and I can't really find anything I'm doing wrong. I've QT'd more difficult fish e.g. Ventralis, Venustus, Multifasciata, but recently I can't seem to do anything right...

Happy Friday Kenny, nice shots.

Very nice Kenny!

Thanks Brett and Brian!

Ryan, I wished I had an answer for you, then I wouldn't be losing fish either. It sucks but I've lost my share of hard and not so hard to get fish during QT. I think sometimes the fish are just destined for that other place due to various issues such as collection, handling, decompression, and a myriad of things that occur before they get to you. I tend to be conservative with my QT process. Don't like to use copper so the fish gets hypo, then Prazi once hypo is done. It's a long and drawn out process but at least from my point of view, it's easier on the fish from what I can tell. Also during this time, I try to expose the fish to all kinds of different foods and try to get them to take pellets and flakes once they are eating well.

The current fish are doing well so far. It's almost a month now and they are starting their third week of hypo. My initial trepidation with any new fish is slowly going away but we are not out of the woods yet. Give me another month and I'll fell much more comfortable. Speaking of losses, the fish before the current ones was rather painful. They weren't the most expensive fish but sure have been hard to get. I've been searching and waiting for a few years and finally got them, but the female had a pop eye that exploded almost immediately and died soon after that, probably from an infection. The male never ate and hung on for over 3 weeks. The search continues..........

RIP!!!
