Possible Ich Flame Angel Question

My flame's got two small white spots on the tail. They've been there (on and off) for about 2 weeks. They have outlasted paragard for those two weeks (did not have the spots when I started). I chose paragard because of pygmy angels being sensitive to copper.
Now I'm thinking of using cupramine. Last dose of paragard was 2100 last night, do I need to run carbon to take it out?

ParaGuard is not an effective treatment against ich.

TTM is the better method to rid fish of ich.

Is the fish still in quarantine?

Yes. I wanted to do TTM but it freaks out when I put the net it. It swam headfirst into the wall and then was stunned for like an hour. A better way to net? There's nothing in that QT except some pipe, the angel, and a carpenter's wrasse I bought at hte same time.

Lowering the water level to a few inches makes the fish much easier to catch as well.

So this is kind of dumb - what do I do with him after i catch him in the colander? Random dump? Grab him with my hand? I don't wanna hurt him. I don't want to put the colander in the other bucket right?

After you catch him you pour out as much water as possible and then dump him in the next tank. At the first transfer you may transfer a few free swimming ich parasites, but already at the next transfer there won't be any in the water anymore. And after all transfers are done the fish should be clean.

Now I'm completely second guessing myself as to if tihs is ich or not. Mostly because they have not fallen off in a week. Here's a video - I can't figure out how to take stills off it in Windows 10. smh at my frustration. I'm looking at his tail fin, best shots seem to be about 5-6 seconds in. He's pretty huh?

If it is on a fin and especially on the edge of a fin and rather large and stationary (= stays more than 7 days) it is likely Lymphocystis. It is very common with new angels and butterflies, especially if they were treated with copper at the exporter, wholesaler and/or LFS.

If it is Lymphocystis it will take a couple of weeks to clear up without any need for medication. Decent water quality and good food is the best you can do.

I've been switching it up between NLS pellets, frozen mysis, frozen krill, frozen formula 1, frozen formula 2 and Reef Prime. I tried Nori sheets but he wasn't interested. Might try again as that was when I first got him.
