Hi All------It's been awhile since I posted, At first I was just using garlic, zoe,---soaked food----I used this about 8 weeks, to help with my purple tang that had ICH---with no change-----I tried NO ICH for 5 weeks all that did was kill my bio-balls and start my cycle over--------After the ammonia spike and the loss of 3 fish-(A manderian, chocolate tang, seabea clown)-----I now use ginger, garlic and zoe------soaked foods-------the fish love it, and after 2 weeks my purple tang is ICH FREE----------that is after seeing what he looked like over the last 2 1/2 month's--------lets put it this way-----"There's not a spot on him!!!! I know ICH goes through cycles. I think either the garlic, ginger, zoe mixture helped or he just got immuned to the ICH------Or Both!!!! Either way, I'm going to keep feeding like this------I feed twice a day, about 1/4 teaspoon full "of the mixture with frozen food" I always keep dried seaweed in there as well. My tang is FAT and HAPPY!!!! And now my TANK is HAPPY!!!! I think that there are many things that need to go into consideration when dealing with ICH-------A healthy tank will usually heal itself If you do your part to keep it healthy-----(I did WEEKLY water changes---and vaccumed the substrate, I ran a UV, I had cleaner shrimp, cleaner wrasses, and If there is stress in your tank try to fix it.-----In my case I do not think 2 tangs no matter what kind should be kept together--(my tank is a 72 gal bow)-----they may not fight, mine didn't but I don't think (NOW---that 1 died) that they liked each other. I used a polyfilter plus a regular filter----I tried to keep everything as clean as possible, and water quality good-------For awhile there the ICH took over, It got really bad no matter what I did, but I just kept at it!!!! Now after 2 1/2-3 month's My tank has taken a major turn for the better!!! I will give it another 2-3 weeks and report back------As for now-------Looks like the combo, of everything I've done or been doing is working----It's not a quick fix, but It may be the healthiest way to go instead of tearing down your tank, catching/trapping fish, using hypo, or copper meds, ect. Alot of people out there, who don't have a Q. Tank, knows what I'm saying-----we want healthy fish, and we know we should have a Q. Tank, but sometimes even Ich sneeks up on the best of us, and having more than one tank even a simple set up, still cost $$$$ to set up and maintain------In a perfect world, we all would be millionair's--------Personally I feel, that acting as fast and natural as possible is the best way, to combat ICH. I personally couldn't wait for a Q.Tank to cycle, nor did I have the $$$ at the time, my purple tang got ICH-------so I researched, and did what I could--------And it looks like it worked! And if I had to do it all over again-------All I would change is--------Only 1 tang per tank, don't use No-ICH it was a waste of money, and use the ginger/garlic/zoe mixture from the start. This is just my opinion--------------Thanks, for reading----------------Belinda Oh yea----------I did not loose the 3 fish from ICH, I lost them from the ammonia spike, I got from adding 5 pieces of LR to my tank that the LFS swore was already cycled----HAHA---LOL, I won't belive them again!!!!!! Sorry about my fish though!!, I won't be adding any new ones soon-----I want to give it at least another month, maby too!!!!
