Possibly a Dumb Question About Chaeto and Others..

I'm going to have my first refugium with my new setup. Admittedly, I've never paid much attention to discussions about macro algaes before, so this might be a dumb question.

We're all told to be careful about new fish, new corals, new rock, etc. QT this, dip that. But what about getting some chaeto from another reefer's system? What all can it carry in it that might be bad? And what should you do before putting it into your system?

Yes tons of critters can come. A dip? I have a special blend of pancur, then coral rx, and put it In quarantine for a week.

So treat it about the same as a new coral?

A freshwater bath will kill anything that will come with it. Won't hurt the chaeto either.
