Man everytime i look at the tank i see movement!! The Tunze controll is the sweetest on the market.
My fish love the flow, They are always swimming back and forth in it. My fish say thank you Matthias! ;)
Lets see how your tank is rockin with your tunze's and profilux.
2 6100's are creating the flow in a 180 gal (6 ft)

Great waves and really shows off how good the ProfiLux really is.

When you think of the cost of a Tunze controller and then look at the cost of the ProfiLux with all its massive array of other features, it really is a no brainer, cost over functionality!

Lets see some other peoples waves!

Right angle short, permanant alteration, 30-100% power for .08 secs. I have them on group 1 for pumps. I dont need a group2, But might put 2 6055's on in the future and try some surges. ;)

Sorry, it´s my first post at RC
Sorry for my english
I have a tank of 2,5 mts long (1050 lts)
I have two 6101 pumps (one oppossite the other)
I have could not see waves like yours. To me it is like the see is on calm
Which settings could be good for me?
Second question
I have the intention of buying a wavebox, could i buy the wave box extension as i don´t need the single controller?
Thank you
Creetin sorry to use your post instead open a new one:) :)

After I get a LAN card, my next Profilux ad on will be to get my 6100's on the Profilux instead of the Tunze controller they are on now. The Tunze is great, but, I can not get anything near that motion out of it.

That's how I have it...seems to work fine. I tried changing the setting and didn't see any change, so defaulted back to what was suggested, 3v-8v.

I have my two 6100's running on the Profilux now and can't believe the difference vs. the older controller I was using. I never thought this was possible without purchasing a wavebox, therfore, my Profilux has officially paid for itself now and I am now entering the point where I am getting money back by removing other controls and letting the Profilux handle it. My question now is, do you guys vary the wave or leave it running all day long. I have set a night mode. I see there is an adjustment that you can make in the Random Wave Reduction". Would you use this to mix it up a little.

Quick update:

I had to turn off the wave and use the Sinus Wave mode. My wife actually got motion sickness from the visable wave. Too funny. It also created a strobe light effect on the front of the house and I don't want to risk the potential lawsuite if someone has a seizure starring through my front window as they walk by at night. lol

New question: Is there a way to run the Sinus mode during the day and the wave motion at night. That way I don't make my wife sick and get the washing effect on the corals and substrate.

in reading this post i am a little confused...

i would like to simulate a wave effect on the reef...do i need the wave box or 2 streams?

what is the ideal way to do this??

is it better to have a wave box for waves..then 2 streams for random surges?

i am totally confused as which direction to head... I want it good for the tank and also the cool factor.

please advise
