is it common? the ones i see locally have a whiteish base

Not sure, but I have never seen one with a whitish base.

I actually only had the one, and all the clones that it produced, which all looked the same. (( and a Rose BTA ))

Here's a "few" of mine... I just upgraded their home from a 50g breeder to a 90g a few weeks ago.

This is a picture the day after the move.

This is a week later after they settled in...

Yes, it started with one RBTA I purchased 4 1/2 years ago.

It's first split 12 days later

I lost count of how many clones were formed, but there are over 30 in the tank now...

Well, this is a friend's RBTA I don't think he'll mind me showing it. Its kept in a 39 gallon tank and when I first seen it I was floored, this beauty was literally filling the entire tank.....

The female clownfish is 3" long... this purple monster is HUGE!
I recently removed two more coral colonies to give it more room....

I just got this pink LTA for my new picasso pair(TY Doni)
I like the white veins on disc, makes a crazy, cool pattern that I've never seen on an LTA before.

Here are a couple shots of my two anemones. I believe they are just BTA's. Best I can tell they've been in captivity for about 2 or 3 years.

This back one is 12"+ across. Really starting to take over my tank. I'm trying to move him now to my frag tank but he's got a death grip on a 25lb piece of live rock.

Those are the nicest green BTAs I think I've ever seen! I'd love to see more of them if you have any more pics. Are they always so bubbly?

Purple Carpet

Purple Carpet

This is my new Purple Carpet. I have had it for about 3 weeks now, and it is huge. My Saddle Back Clowns love it. It eats Mysis on occasion, but gets whole Silversides once a week. It has never deflated, which I give credit more to the store I bought it from than to myself:)

dmzl,
That is a nice group of Mini carpets. Where did you get them? I got a nice green one from a store in Austin a few months back but nothing the color of what you have.

dmzl, I luv ur tank. very different from what i've seen in the past. Did the fan worms grow like that or are you able to position them in that manner? your tank looks like a marine candy land. neato!
