Power head in Seahorse tank

Hello all,
Any one have power heads in their SH tank ? if so, what kind ? any Issues ?

I have always used maxijets, cause there is a long distance between the proppel and the inlet, so the seahorse tail can never get far enough in there to get hurt. but how about others like Smaller Tunze pumps ? korallia ? and so on ...

I use mini jet power heads that run all the time, and, I run Hagen 802 power heads with quick filter attachment to prevent catching seahorses but to catch water borne left over food particles for removal.

thank you as always Ray :) always appreciate your help.

I was fine with my pair ... till I saw the the ones Ken got yesterday ... brought back some good memories lol I have a 60G azoox reef as well now, low temps [70-72] with 4 tunze pumps ... I can cover those as you mentioned.

still not 100% sure if I will add seahorses to that set up though ... these are a couple of tube anemones in there :| if I do decide to add SHs Ill put the anemones in the sump.

The ones Ken just got in are quite small, smaller than I like to see them sold.
I would imagine he'll be complaining to Beth about the "quick shipment" rather than let them grow another month before selling.

I have an mp10 in my horse tank. It allows for changing flows and current. I cover it with a "re-usable" produce bag cut down. I rinse it daily along with the foam filter cover.

I use a Tunze "nano" wavebox in my 110 gallon tank. (Don't let the term "nano" fool you...this wavebox is plenty strong enough for a 60 gallon tank) Works great and no worries about sucking up the seahorses (or anybody else that might be in there).
