power timer strip cheap

I think those are sort of like the Coralife power strips that everyone was talking about how it caught on fire! I have a digital one and don't use it anymore. 5 bucks takes it, I need to sell all the crap I got.

A corallife timer the first one that they came out with caught fire to someones house and the glass actually broke and the water from the tank put the fire out. Out of the thousands that have been sold I have only heard about 1 that caught fire. I to am looking around and need to get one.

EK9voi if cschweiter doesnt take the powerstip I will.

I had one burn up, possibly from the salt water dripping down the cord cause i forgot a drip loop... Didnt damage anything, my GFC tripped before actual fire, so i just had a charred mess of plastic melt, and the smell of burnt electronics for a month in my home.

Ive had mine under my tank for a little over a year with no problems. Just have to keep them up and out of the way. I have mine on the sidewall inside my tank

so then its not worth getting then. wutever i will buy the one from ek9vboi dont forget me bro. i ask first Ding2daDong :p. sorry bro.:)

Actually, I used a smilar timer a while back. I actually got it at Target's after holiday sale (it was designed for Christmas lights). They're cheap enough that if one goes bad, just replace it. I had my Coralife version (the 2 timer model) that went bad shortly after plugging it in. I'd certainly rather spend under $10 for one to go bad rather than $40! Right now all I have is a single light digital timer running my 10k's and an analog running my actinics. I'm wondering if the digital Coralifes are any better than the dial versions myself.

I like the digital stuff because it has a battery back up built in so if the power goes out then the memory will be saved.
