Wondered if anyone local has these.

I also wonder if anyone local is Beta testing that battery backup and if so did it work for you last week?

I am wondering the costs for the backup. The pumps seem to be getting mixed reviews and I am not sure if they have their driveshaft issues ironed out yet. I think the pump look great but they may need some sort of angling devise like a air vent in a car to help with flow direction to create some angles.

In comparison with a tunze they costs more. Will be able to make a better compariosn by next year when their bugs are worked out and they have the battery backup and controller all hitting store shelves.

Just sparking conversation to something other than the storms.

their main selling feature is no heat added to the tank... but for that price, you might as well just buy the chiller.

Not to contradict, my friend Mike, but their selling features are also great water movement, low watt consumption, no chance of electrical leakage, power outage protection with battery backup. Chillers put out heat to the room, cost a bit to run and don't keep the water moving. I'm getting one as soon as they work out the bugs.

I was thinking the same things juct didnt have time this morning to respond. Their water movemnet is great. I would like to see more reviews about their "undertow" effect.
