Proof Kraken is in my fuge!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After at least 6 months of tring to get a pic or capture,
finally I cought him out today! He may not be Kraken, but he is one huge worm, at least 15-20 inches if not more, I can never see the end or tail of him.
Maybe some sort of bristleworm as he has bristles, or tubeworm as he builds tubes or tunnles, which he is doing now! It also has very nice colors, shades of purple,red,yellow,and white.
Please let me know if you might know what this is or if you have seen a worm in a tank this big before! I maybe holding a world record worm! LOL

Those 5 little(?) antennae say that's a eunicid, which may eat lots of stuff in your tank that you don't want eaten as he grows up. Unless you want to keep him in a species tank, you'll probably want to remove him. There are likely several people on the forum who'd enjoy having him, though.

Have a taste for expensive coral. I remember someone on here having a seven footer or someting along those lines. Careful when removing(which I'd recommend) as they can break and form new ones.

I found on google there were a couple of guys that had 4 footers in 55g tanks and couldnt figure out why thier coral was dissapearing! Yuk!

Im not up for killing kritters, but I would sure as heck keep him away from the display tank.

Ya Steve Weast had a 7ft long one in his 850g tank mowing down corals. There is entire page dedicated to it on his website.

Wow! I had a much smaller one but he was killed in removal. That one is pretty sweet though. You should put him in a species tank and see how big it gets.

My recollection is that they can get up to 10 meters/30feet. When diving we used to call them Bobbett worms.

I looked at the first picture and though we were looking at the rope in the left corner. I was trying to figure out why you thought it was a worm and not some kind of water snake. >.<

That being said, eucinid and duuude not fun to look at when you're on your way to bed.

30 feet is waaay too big for human safety! lol that thing can crawl out in the night and eat one of your kids or the family dog and then crawl back into his tank before morning.. like a octo!

That is crazy. I would take him out regardless of what type he is. That is just crazy. When I see a bristle in my fuge, if it is longer than 3 or 4 inches, it gets yanked.

definitely Eunicid. I had one that looked very similar. I would take him out asap because they will eat corals and inverts. Here is a pic of mine. His rock got a long freshwater dip.
