PTSD treatment tank

WOW.. streaks... someone does not know how to field day.

You may want to invest in the screens that they sell at a home improvement store. The ones you cut and string the screen in your self.

They work wonders!!

Yep that might be tomorrows project. But I might put the screen on the back of my canopy so it will be enclosed. I should be getting it tomorrow well that's the plan.

How come the cheap frag that you really don't care about never falls inside the rockwork? One of the frags that I paid the most for ever fell down inside the rocks so I had to tear it half way apart just to get it. I guess tomorrow I will try to get the rocks back to half way normal. But I did recover the frag.

Same reason the fitting that drips is the hardest one to reach ...... and the fish that carpet surfs is your kids favorite .... and the ATO gets stuck only when one is on vacation ..... Mr. Murphy apparently takes a particular interest in reef tanks!

Did you happen to go to the frag swap over the weekend in Renton? There were some pretty nice frags at the event. I was a little jealous being between tanks with a big move in my near future.

I didn't I forgot what day it was so I didn't make it to it. I did remember as soon as it was done. Oh well

I have some but it fell in a concave part of a rock on the bottom. I could see it but couldn't get to it with them. So I had to start moving things to get to it. Oh well it's out now and everything is back where it belongs but the frag. I have to pick up some more puddy tonight after work to glue some of them down.

Well the skin for the stand is done. Here is a picture of the bottom part of it. For some reason the spray on the canopy is not drying. So he is going to sand it off and respray it today. But at least its something to update. I will try to get some pictures of everything in my tank sometime today.

Has anyone seen a SPS do something like this. It has started out a purple polyps then on one branch they are now green. A very bright green.

Not that I know of it has always been off by its self. So who knows is just one of them freak things I am guessing. I might take a small frag off of it and try growing it and see if it stays that way.

I would bet the rest of the coral would have the ability to morph that color under the right circumstances. that peice is probably getting better flow/light/parameters for some reason and is reaching its color potential.

I was wondering if that branch was under one of the different light colors under the LED's. Maybe the red or the green so it gave it different light to change.

Well I got a few small updates on my tank. The skin for the stand is done and on. It sure is looking really good now. I really like the way this thing is starting to come together. As for some of the corals that I have in it. I am staring to see some new growth on some of them. On others that I took out of my other tank are starting to get some color back to them. I am one happy camper right now. But here are a couple of bad cell phone pictures that I just took.

I am starting to make a board for my APEX to mount to. I plan on drilling a few holes in it to run the wires through so they are on the back to make a nice clean look to it. Right now I have it just out in my living room trying to figure it out and how to program it. I will mount the DC controllers to the board also so they are nice and neat. But here is where I am at for right now. I will work on it for a couple of hours a night or when I get a few free seconds. It seems like I try to plan for a couple of hours but I end up with just a couple of seconds between doing things around the house or taking my daughter to all of her things that she does. But oh well its all good.

Next thing to do is find a couple of reactors for carbon and GFO. I got a two of the Two Little fishes ones but they just will not work for where I want them to go. Plus they will not hook up to the sump with the little lip on them. So I need something that I can place on the floor of the stand. Time to go shopping around to get some ideas on what to get.

Dude, badass tank. I've been following it for a few weeks now and I'm impressed. Can't wait to see it grown out.
Also..
From one to another, My tank keeps me sane. Before I set up my 120, sleep was a thing of the past. Tv doesn't have the power to get your mind off things as my tank does. Now I can lay on the couch and look straight into my tank and relax and get an actual night of rest, I also think the hmm of the pumps reassure me of where I am even when I'm asleep. Thanks for your service brother.

Semper fi Travelinlight I never would have though how much a tank would do for me mentally. Now just if I can get it to help fix me physically we would be good.

I am about ready to take this APEX at toss it in the back yard for the dogs to chew on. It will not work for me. I can not get any of my outlets to turn on. I programed them and then plugged in a lamp so I can figure out what ones are what. Go to the dashboard turn them all on and move the plug for the lamp one by one. But guess what not a single one of them will turn on or supply power. I have been messing with it for the last two weeks and not a single thing will work with it. I guess I could use it for a $500 display temp thing but that's all I can get.
