Puffer problem!

Hello,
I have a blue spotted Toby puffer who is darting and scraping his sides against the live rock and coral. I do not see any abnormalities on his body but one of his fins has a small white spot. He is eating fine but seems a little bloated. He has been in my tank for over a month and has been fine. Could this be ich or another parasitic infection? Should I place him in a hospital tank right away?

you won't necessarily see spots on his body even if it is ich. if you can catch him, you should definitely put him in quarantine. if it turns out to be ich, you will have to take steps to eradicate it from your display tank.

what other fish do you have?
