Puffer / tang problem

The dogface puffer and tang have been together for almost two years in a 210 with a changing Koran and trigs. My problem is the pbt. It's a brat as only a tang can be :) and gets sorted out by everyone it tries to bully except the puffer. It's not all the time but I feel action is required sooner rather than later. The two fish are about the same size with the tang harassing the puffer, tail nipping, circling etc. Puffer was here first so not getting rid of puffy :) So now for options
Move puffer to another tank? Possible but I have a slightly smaller dogface in there. Calling puffer keepers, who has kept two dogface puffers together? I've had a porc and a dogface together before without issue. The dogface puffers I have are different colour morphs, one black and the other the usual with yellow fins.
Drain water (water change coming up) catch tang and rehome?
Thanks for any opinions/ advice. The only fish that the tang ignores is the Koran and that was a last addition several months back.

I have a dog faced...arothon nigropunctatus... and a striped...arothon manilensis together and they have no problems. The two spend their days basically on opposite sides of the tank, but then come together when I feed. They almost help each other seek out the food and find it to share.

Thanks for the reply. How big was your tank and how long were they together? I still haven't decided which way I want to go with this but will have to make a choice by the weekend when I do water changes because it will be the easiest time to catch and move the tang. The puffer is easy to get into a container anytime if need be.

Currently they are still together, but they are in a tank to small for long term. I've had them both for 2-3 months in a 55. I got the dog faced special order with a yellow belly, then kinda fell into the striped. I'm working on a upgrade that will give them a bunch more room though.
