Purple People Eaters?

Apparently my g/f spotted these somewhere for dirt cheap, and thinks I should pick them up. I swear... sometimes I think she knows more about coral than me. :lol:

Anyway... before I pursue this, does anyone have pictures of these, and what is the going rate for them?

Here are some pics I found some variations of People Eaters that I'll be using as reference... apparently the green mouth, and white striations on the stalk are what's needed to ID them:

This pic. shows a True People Eater half open. You can see both the mouth and the white lines.

Just got back... they're definitely some sort of "People Eaters" and the polyps were about the size of a nickel.

$59.99 for an 80-100 polyp rock.

IMO they look like RPE's. Here is a pic I got off of ZoaID that most closely resembles what they look like, except the mouth's were a little more neon green.

Anyway... I wasn't too impressed so I didn't buy them.

Yeah those look like my RPE, which has some purp in it but not PPE.

Crappy lighting so hard to tell... Regardless, they didn't have the green skits, so I wasn't interested.

It's not a picture of the colony that was for sale, but a picture I found that most closely resembles them.

Raynist and I decided to split the colony for sale at the LFS. Ran out this morning and picked them up.

Here are the initial pictures... I'll take some more later after they settle in, and stop stressing from the coral dip.

The striations which confirm they are "People Eaters"

Pics of the Polyps... they're very dark purple, but I'm still not considering them "True PPE's" because they don't have the neon green skirt. I'll have to check around on ZoaID to see if I can find the exact name.
