Purple reef lobster

Hey just wondering if anyone has a reef lobster in there reef tanks?
I bought one last night and woke up today and found my skunk cleaner dead... Although i transferred the skunk shrimp from my 20gal to my new 55gal after i put the lobster in. So i'm trying to figure out if it was the lobster or to much stress or something...
Thank you,

~Nick

RIP. Mr. Shrimp

That is what I meant. They do not eat corals but other animals are fair game. I use the term reef safe with regard to normal animals found in most aquaria.

The lobster will eat any invert or fish it can get its claws on. Will attack sleeping fish during the night and the fish will become its dinner! Should be kept in its own species take or with very large fish! I know someone lost half his livestock to a lobster!

Which is why I called it not reef safe. If an animal reduces the number of inhabitants that I supply to the tank, it is NOT reef safe.

I somewhat agree what you guys are saying but dont you think its kind of odd that the lobster left a fully dead shrimp without even eatting it. It seems kind of shaddy. saltwater4life how did you exactly place the fish. If you just dropped the shrimp in it might of died or even ur parameters are much different to those of your 20G.

I havent had any problems with my purple reef lobster. I think the key is to keep them fed good so they dont have to look for alternative food sources like your inverts and fish.
