Anyone know if the gby will eat sinking pellets? And which kind should I get if they do? (link would be awesome)
I'm worried that he's not getting enough if any food before it floats away.. I wanna make sure he eats well

**Edit: I'm just gonna run to my LFS and get some from there.. they have a frogspawn I may get as well.. Oh.. I have some pictures that i'll upload when I get home

Alright, I'm back, Frogspawn is acclimating..
LFS guy told me not to sweat the goby chomping at the bit to eat the first couple days and the he can sift feed

Alright, so the new rockwork is taller then it was previously therefore it is shorter lengthwise.
I still have a bunch of rocks left over.. I might look through it and see if anything will fit nicely.

I saw my peppermint shrimp jump on him once..I think it was because I put him in front of my shrimps little cave area.. I moved him and haven't seen an attack yet.
I"ll be keeping a close eye over the next couple hours.

Alrght I've seen the shrimp jump on the frowspawn again. The frogspawn retracted a little but then the shrimp backed off. I really don't see Damage to the FS bt then again I really don't know what to look for.

Yes, the goby will eat pellets as long as they'll fit. In fact I think in the beginning pellets are a more efficient way to feed as long as they don't all end up in the gravel.

Yea, peppermints can be hit or miss with LPS corals. Most of the time it's no prob. Just keep him well fed. What kind of lights do u have over the system? That'll help me, help you with the positioning of the frogspawn.

My hermits have been playing musical Shells today.. I've noticed one in a Astrea snail shell so far and I've seen two switches..
I"ll try to get some pictures up in a bit.


On another note.. I wanted to do a wter change today but both ofmy hydrometers are giving me extreamly different readings..
I've been thinking about a good Refractometer.. and clues on a god and yet cheap one?

So, I got up around 4:30 and walked past the tank and I saw Nessie poking his head out and he didn't back in..
I walked back past the tank again.. still didn't move..
I ran like a ninja to my camera and got some shots.

My pepp also was "inside" my frogspawn(in-betwen 2 heads) the first night. I scoo'ed him with a wooden skewer(my crab skewering stick), and have yet to see him near it again. Maybe just checking out the new addition.

Yeah, I looked into it more when I saw mine go after my frogspawn..
I've been paying close attention.. I think it was a "*** something new" attack and not a "FrogSpawn is my favriot dessert" attack.. meaning it only happened once..

Either my frongspawn has grown like half an inch in the last few days or he is coming out more.. I tend to think he's growing

Alright.. so I was really hoping for purble rocks.. it seems as if they are turning different colors..

Any good clues on how to get my rocks to turn purple?
