pyramid snail question

would they ever be found elsewhere other than on the clam?
i found one on my blasto, i'm not sure its a pyramid, as it could be a baby cerith snail. boy do i get those two mixed up.

There are pyramid snails living on snails (like turbo snail) and will kill the snail if you don't clean them off of the snail. These pyramid snails will not prey on clams and vice-versa. There are small snails that are non parasitic that look just like pyramid snails to the naked eye (to my eyes). I would not worry about any snails not on your clams. Remove those that on your snails for the snails's health.
