Q about a Maxima

Hi all.

Got my first maxima today. Bit of a risk since I'm only running T5s. Got 4 x White and 2 x Blue all 54W. How long a photoperiod do you recommend? 8 hours at the mo and I've placed the clam at the highest point in the tank (within 6" of surface). Thanks, K

I think you will be OK Kram but I'd up the photo period to 10-12 hours. You really should consider increasing that lighting by a factor of at least 2 if you plan on further high light intensity livestock, There is only so much room at the top.
