Question about External Overflows

I'm currently getting ready to put in an order for a new tank with an external overflow on the back. I asked the manufacturer if it were possible to have the glass in front of the overflow tinted black to match the black painted glass on the rest of the back of the tank and they told me that it wasn't possible.
How do people with external overflows manage to have the overflow area hidden?
Thanks,
Jason

I had a sheet of 3/16" acrylic attached to the inside of the rear pane. Looks great and isn't too hard to keep clean as I don't have to worry much about scratches.

I just let coraline grow over it, I was going to have black acryllic cut to fit inside the overflow, but decided I could live without it. Make sure to undersize your sheet if you are doing acryllic, it will expand in water and crack out your overflow if it is to tight.
